At the Break of Dawn II

Takeo was sprinting alongside Matsu when Matsu asked where they were. Takeo looked at the map and began to respond. "Well if we keep heading in this direction we'll run straight into the Hidden in the Grass village. If we go left we will go towards the Hidden in the Rain village, but I don't recommend that because it's very heavily guarded. If we go right then we'll head in the direction of the Hidden in the Waterfalls village.  Apparently we should be coming up on a bridge soon enough." Takeo then put his map back into his backpack. 

Kane was far enough ahead for it to make little difference -- the water bottle was far behind. All that she carried was her kunai, a bag of medical supplies that was left unmarked, and the corpse that was sealed inside of her. The immediate vicinity around her was forestry. There was no path to follow all the way to the village in question. She was coming up on a small mountainous region, which had high, rocky points. Anyone with good vision could see, given range and altitude, the shirt and pants-wearing girl, zipping around with her shirt tucked into her waistline. The question was if Kane's route was straight or varying like a map specialist would be. Most people would stick to the path, which she did not do, but Kane did not wind her route, and stuck instead to the shortest route in the direction of the Land of Grass. It was pointing slightly northwards, veering off in case she chose instead to go to Amegakure.

Matsu heard the news of hope and picked up the pace. Matsu was wearing a short dark green cloak with the hood up over his normal attire, and it flapped violently behind him as he sprinted though the trees jumping from branch to branch. Matsu was full on sprinting, because of this his sword was forced bouncing around pretty fast and its beady eye was bouncing all around confused as to why such exertion was even necessary. He thought about Akane, her soft white face. Blackened by the butt of his sword. The idea that he might be able to get revenge for the child he killed kept him going.

Takeo followed the chakra from behind until they closed in on a mountain. The chakra then disappeared out of Takeo's sight. Turning to Matsu Takeo said, "I can't see the chakra anymore... We need to investigate around here..." Takeo then walked around the edge of the mountain looking for any signs of Akane. Takeo looked to see some skid marks down near the mountain's base. "Hmm I wonder if she head down here..." Takeo slowly made his way down the mountain to see what looked like a small cave system. Takeo activated his Sharingan and slowly stepped into the cave. His eyes were glowing bright red as he looked around at the entrance. 

The small cave system tied underground. It seems as if ages ago a people left the cave system as a rebel outpost. Kane slowly entered. She continued to run forward into the darkness, and all was black. She may have hit snakes, spiders, or even maybe a bear in the cave. The medical-nin didn't know. Eventually, she'd plop down in a small corner, deep inside of the cavern -- or so she thought. She did her best to track where she came from. Hopefully she wouldn't get lost in the cave system. She shifted around a bit, feeling the rock wall. She felt a small puddle of water slosh around, and it came to her. 'Yes! Kane sat in the puddle, feeling around it. She leaned back against the rock. It was going to be a long while of sitting in darkness.

Matsu was sitting outside on a rock staring up at the sky, waiting for Takeo to call him inside the cave, or for him to come out with her over his shoulder.  He had re-sheathed his sword. I wonder whats going on in there. Just then Matsu heard Takeo call his name from deep inside the cave. There's my signal.  Matsu drew his sword god I just sheathed it. and ran inside. While he made his way down the narrow paths he managed to light his lantern to illuminate his path. It didn't take long for him to end up behind Takeo looking over his shoulder. At a puddle. "Oh come on Takeo, you have to be assertive" Matsu stood over her and used Lightning Release: Wave of Inspiration his hands were covered in lightning chakra. "Come with me or I'll electrocute you and you will die."
