Hiden (秘伝; Literally meaning "secret tradition") or simply "secret" techniques are passed down orally from generation to generation. Like Kekkei Genkai, they cannot be copied by simple observation, though they are not bound by blood. However, while clans have been abolished, people are still very secretive about their skills, and as so, usually only people in direct descendance from the old clans know the Hiden Jutsu.

Originating from the Aburame clan, insect manipulation has the character control bugs living inside their bodies, feeding off their chakra. There are several types of insects utilized, as listed below:
The kidaichuu (寄大蟲; Literally meaning "Parasitic Giant Insects") are a species of beetle-like insects that are bred and utilised by select members of the Aburame clan as part of their Parasitic Destruction Insect Technique. Though initially small in size, if provided with the incorrect amount of chakra, these insects immediately begin to devour the flesh of their host, causing them to undergo rapid growth to ultimately giant proportions.
The kikaichuu (寄壊蟲; English TV "Parasitic Insects"; Literally meaning "Parasitic Destruction Insects") are a species of small, beetle-like insects that are bred and utilised for jutsu, forming the basis for unique techniques.
Rinkaichuu (燐壊虫; Literally meaning "Phosphorus Destruction Insect")[5] are a breed of nano-sized, venomous insects (ナノサイズの毒蟲, nanosaizu no dokumushi) used by select users as part of their Parasitic Destruction Insect Technique. These bugs destroy their enemies' cells, causing excruciating pain in the process.
The shoukaichuu (消壊虫; Literally meaning "Neutralising Destruction Insect") are one of several species of insect used. They resemble worms. They can dig into the ground and locate chakra signatures that they then report the positions of back to their respective user.

The Kikaichuu no Jutsu is a practice exclusive to the Aburame clan. When children are born into the clan, their bodies are offered to insects to be used as a nest. Over the years, as the child grows up, they are instructed in the Hijutsu of the clan, and learn how the insects may serve them in combat.

The insects then emit a small amount of the their host's respective chakra that they usually feed on. This confuses sensor-type shinobi's chakra-sensing ability, as the insects' irregular distribution and grouping together result in the creation of numerous false 'images' or chakra signals, making it more difficult to distinguish the user's actual location.

A secret technique exclusive to the Aburame clan, where thousands of Kikaichuu are gathered in one place and pattern themselves after the user or anyone else they choose. Seeing as it's elaborate enough to be mistaken for the original, it may be used as a decoy, or as part of a diversionary tactic. Furthermore, since one can put the insects in standby someplace beforehand, then have them assume the form of the clone, this jutsu is arguably even more effective than the Kage Bunshi , depending on the task. The clone falls apart into its component bugs when struck. Because they're made of bugs, the clones can reform almost instantly.

By using the destruction bugs, members of the Aburame clan surround their opponent with thousands of bugs, making a globe of bugs around the opponent beforehand to completely trap them. Once trapped, the bugs would normally drain the chakra and swallow their victim. The bugs covering the victims body prevent movement, but if they escape, the bugs will follow them.

Nanosaizu no Dokumushi are a special breed of insects used by select members of the Aburame clan as part of their Parasitic Destruction Insect Technique. These bugs destroy their enemies' cells, causing excruciating pain in the process. Unlike the standard Kikaichuu, which are able to act independently of the user, the nano-sized insects can seemingly only be transferred onto a victim's body by direct physical contact; though only a mere touch from the user's skin is required as the bugs can circumvent most forms of clothing. However, direct skin to skin contact has the highest chance of success.

This gives this attack the power to even cave in the earth, causing extensive crushing damage to anything that may be caught beneath them. This attack is also shown to have a wide range due to the increased size of his palms.

This ability grants members of the Akimichi clan free control of their body's calories — which they convert into chakra in order to perform their techniques. At the highest level of the technique, the user converts calories into chakra and releases the chakra in the shape of two large butterfly wings. In this form, the user can use some of their clan's high-level techniques, such as the Butterfly Bullet Bombing technique several times without experiencing fatigue or other adverse effects. The user still experiences weight loss but it isn't nearly as severe as when the pills are used. The effect lasts for a total amount of posts equal to half the user's original stamina. Force and Physical Energy is raised by 2.

A protean, whole-body technique whereby the user liquefies their entire body at will, making it impossible to receive damage from physical attacks. Be it to evade an enemy's attack during a short range battle, to infiltrate a structure, or to launch a surprise attack in a liquefied state, this technique boasts a high strategic value. However, while in a watery state, either partially or fully, they become vulnerable to all of water's normal weaknesses, such as electrical conductivity.

The Shadow Imitation Technique allows the user to extend their shadow for as far as it has sufficient area. Once it comes into contact with a target's shadow, the two merge and the target is forced to imitate the user's movements. If the target is out of range, the user can produce a better light source to increase their shadow's size or rely on preexisting shadows for their shadow to freely travel through.
The major downside of the Shadow Imitation is that it is tiring to use repeatedly; If the user is low on chakra, the performance rate of the technique also deteriorates. Insufficient lighting will make the jutsu less effective. A particularly strong opponent can also resist the shadow's forced imitation.

By infusing weapons, like shuriken, with their own chakra beforehand, the weapons are given the effect of the user's shadow techniques. By using these weapons to pierce the enemies' shadows, they are paralyzed in place. To pierce the shadow, it is necessary to avoid the target just barely. As it is more difficult for the enemy notice it, this ninjutsu also compensates for the weak point of the similar Kagemane no Jutsu, being its limited effective range. Despite it's name, any sort of weapon of chakra conducting material can be used.

After capturing an opponent with Kagemane no Jutsu, the user can then further extend their shadow up to the target's throat in the shape of a hand, which chokes them to death. Also, if the Kagemanu no Jutsu isn't making the opponent copy their movements, this can be used to bind opponent's body in order to restrain them. The closer the user is to their opponent, the tighter the strangle will become. This technique cannot be used for an extended period of time and weakens with each passing minute. Light is a direct factor in this jutsu. It seems to make the strength of the bind stronger, though has no known effect on the duration of the bind.

A ninjutsu from among the Nara clan's secret techniques that uses materialised shadows to attack and bind, instead of merely immobilizing and controlling like Kagemane no Jutsu. The user changes the shape of their shadow into several sharp needles and controls each separately. They can then attack several targets simultaneously and at the same time snatch away their ability to move by sewing them stuck with the shadow threads. Because it is a physical attack, it is impossible to capture someone without harming them, but on the other hand, since the speed of invocation and the time of duration are excellent, it can be used when urgent restraint is required.
This technique is usually used to go through the target and capture them, but depending on the opponent, it can also be used as an attack to bring them down. This special characteristic finds its greatest effect when used as logistical support. After this technique hits someone, it can then be directly transformed back into Kagemane no Jutsu.

This is a ninjutsu using materialized shadows, but compared to Kage Nui no Jutsu from the same line, this technique places emphasis on the minute control of the shadow's movements. It is accurate enough to even make the tentacles go through tiny holes. Basically, this technique takes the user's own shadow and transforms and stretches it into countless thin tentacles, which are then used to grab objects and pull them in. Also, one can also skillfully make use of the tentacle-shaped shadow tendrils by using them to lift up and throw weapons like kunai and such. This technique has many possible applications and uses.

This technique allows the user to enter the mind of another person or even an animal. The user transfers their consciousness to the opponent, giving them complete control of the body for a short period of time. Their original body is left defenseless while this jutsu is active, leaving it susceptible to attack until they return. The mind transfer is slow-moving, moves in a straight direction, and takes some time to return to the user's body if it misses. Because of these reasons it should only be used on immobilized targets. Lastly, should any physical injury befall the victim's body while the mind-link is active, it would cause the user's body to also receive those same injuries. For example, should the victim's arm be detached, the user's arm would be detached as well, leading to the conclusion that, should the victim die, the user would also die. This can be rectified if user cancels the jutsu before the victim's body receives the damage.

The enemies this technique is cast upon are completely under control, their bodies disconnected from their will, their movements stolen from them. The difference between this, and Shintenshin no Jutsu is, that the caster is able to retain their consciousness. Thanks to this, one can mind the safety of their own body even during the course of the techniques activation. Situations of numerical superiority for the adversary are precisely where this technique, which freely manipulates human beings will display its efficiency, by getting the enemies to kill one another. Control can be exerted even from a distance. This technique is arguably the most suitable to confuse the enemy.

The user switches their spirit with a puppet laid somewhere in the area, and controls the puppet to attack an opponent. When the opponent attacks the puppet, the two consciousnesses will be switched; the user will gain control of the opponent's body, while the opponent's mind will be trapped in the puppet.
The user's body is left defenseless while the jutsu is in effect, similar to Shintenshin no Jutsu. Any damage done to the victim's body that they have taken over is transferred to his true body as well, but this can be rectified if they cancel the jutsu before the victim's body receives the damage.

Characters of this Hiden all have a single Ninken (Ninja Dog) which acts as a companion and ninja tool. These Ninken will have their own stats, though these do only consist of the stats of Taijutsu, Force, Speed, Physical Energy and Accuracy as well as Intelligence, and receive half of what the character gets at start up. Ninken get half of what their owner earns in threads, rounded up. All jutsu stored on the Ninken's page must be jutsu it can use alone, without any form of aid by its partner. At start up, a character may use some of their starting jutsu to give their ninken jutsu instead.

This jutsu involves having one's canine urinate on a target, allowing both the user and canine to track it by scent. Name: Juujin Bunshin - Beast Human Clone

A modified version/mix of a Henge and a Bunshin technique, this jutsu, unique to the Inuzuka clan, allows a canine-user to transform their animal companion into a perfect copy of themselves. When combined with Shikyaku no Jutsu, the user and the animal become virtually impossible to tell apart, since both act equally animalistic. Like any transformation, the jutsu can be broken by identifying and attacking the animal, thus dispelling the transformation. This jutsu is often followed by the Gatsuuga.

This technique grants animal-like accelerated fighting instinct and reflexes. By stretching chakra around one's entire body and moving on all fours, one obtains super-high speed, like that of a wild animal.
When under the effects of this jutsu, a user will display feats of physical strength, speed, and endurance when they are in this state. The form is best suited for using and supporting ferocious hit-and-run tactics. Raises movement speed by 1(only when running on all fours)

After the user(or rather, their canine) have used Dainamikkumaarkingu to mark a target, and entered Soutourou, the two then perform a much more powerful Gatsuuga-like attack. Like the lesser version, they spin rapidly to attack their target. Unlike the previous version, however, they move so rapidly that they can't see where they're going, hence the reason for the earlier Dainamikkumaarkingu, which allows them to track their opponents via the distinctive scent.

The Shadow Imitation Technique allows the user to extend their shadow for as far as it has sufficient area. Once it comes into contact with a target's shadow, the two merge and the target is forced to imitate the user's movements. If the target is out of range, the user can produce a better light source to increase their shadow's size or rely on preexisting shadows for their shadow to freely travel through.
The major downside of the Shadow Imitation is that it is tiring to use repeatedly; If the user is low on chakra, the performance rate of the technique also deteriorates. Insufficient lighting will make the jutsu less effective. A particularly strong opponent can also resist the shadow's forced imitation.

As it is more difficult for the enemy notice it, this ninjutsu also compensates for the weak point of the similar Kagemane no Jutsu, being its limited effective range. Despite it's name, any sort of weapon of chakra conducting material can be used.

The closer the user is to their opponent, the tighter the strangle will become. This technique cannot be used for an extended period of time and weakens with each passing minute. Light is a direct factor in this jutsu. It seems to make the strength of the bind stronger, though has no known effect on the duration of the bind.

A ninjutsu from among the Nara clan's secret techniques that uses materialised shadows to attack and bind, instead of merely immobilizing and controlling like Kagemane no Jutsu. The user changes the shape of their shadow into several sharp needles and controls each separately. They can then attack several targets simultaneously and at the same time snatch away their ability to move by sewing them stuck with the shadow threads. Because it is a physical attack, it is impossible to capture someone without harming them, but on the other hand, since the speed of invocation and the time of duration are excellent, it can be used when urgent restraint is required.
This technique is usually used to go through the target and capture them, but depending on the opponent, it can also be used as an attack to bring them down. This special characteristic finds its greatest effect when used as logistical support. After this technique hits someone, it can then be directly transformed back into Kagemane no Jutsu.

Also, one can also skillfully make use of the tentacle-shaped shadow tendrils by using them to lift up and throw weapons like kunai and such. This technique has many possible applications and uses.

The mind transfer is slow-moving, moves in a straight direction, and takes some time to return to the user's body if it misses. Because of these reasons it should only be used on immobilized targets. Lastly, should any physical injury befall the victim's body while the mind-link is active, it would cause the user's body to also receive those same injuries. For example, should the victim's arm be detached, the user's arm would be detached as well, leading to the conclusion that, should the victim die, the user would also die. This can be rectified if user cancels the jutsu before the victim's body receives the damage.

The user's body is left defenseless while the jutsu is in effect, similar to Shintenshin no Jutsu. Any damage done to the victim's body that they have taken over is transferred to his true body as well, but this can be rectified if they cancel the jutsu before the victim's body receives the damage.

Characters of this Hiden all have a single Ninken (Ninja Dog) which acts as a companion and ninja tool. These Ninken will have their own stats, though these do only consist of the stats of Taijutsu, Force, Speed, Physical Energy and Accuracy as well as Intelligence, and receive half of what the character gets at start up. Ninken get half of what their owner earns in threads, rounded up. All jutsu stored on the Ninken's page must be jutsu it can use alone, without any form of aid by its partner. At start up, a character may use some of their starting jutsu to give their ninken jutsu instead.

Unlike the previous version, however, they move so rapidly that they can't see where they're going, hence the reason for the earlier Dainamikkumaarkingu, which allows them to track their opponents via the distinctive scent.
This attack is powerful enough to cut a person in two, and even if the attack misses, its speed is so great that the surrounding air can slice like a blade.

The Earth Grudge Fear (地怨虞, Jiongu) is a secret kinjutsu which transforms the user's body into something similar to that of a rag-doll's, held together by hundreds of thick black threads. The user is able to close up any non-serious wound quickly, but deep cuts take a while to close. Instead of blood, when the user is cut, they leak out black grains of the threads. The user is able to utilize Earth Grudge Fear and detach body parts to send them other places using the black threads (such as underground for recon). The user is also to reapply body parts such as the arms or feet, by using the threads to reattach them. This power is always active and it leaves the user looking like a rag-doll and having stitches all over their body.

After establishing direct contact with their opponent through a simple punch, the user utilizes Explosion Release to subsequently generate an enormous explosion from the initial point of physical contact. This explosion is powerful enough to major damage an opponent far larger than the user, and send them flying. ue to the direction of the blast, the user minimizes any potential repercussions, such as being struck by resultant debris and even recoil appears to be completely negated.
The user can also use this jutsu against the earth, causing a shock-wave of upturned earth and debris to throw the enemy off balance. Based on how much the chakra the user controls with this jutsu determines how powerful the jutsu is. It can be as soft as a powerful gust of wind and a blast of smoke to knock the enemy back, or (with enough power and control) can be deadly enough to take off a head with a deadly blow.

The user creates explosive clay that is connected to their hands with a thin cord of clay. The clay then rises from the ground, molding itself into human-like forms. The user runs chakra through the cords of clay, manipulating the clay substances to attack the opponent. The density of the clay is strong enough to repel and suck in a sword. When cut apart, the clay substances form more human/animal like forms. The user then can connect more cords of clay to the fallen clay pieces. Furthermore, the user can then use the clay as explosives, attacking the opponent and covering them with clay, which then explodes. The minions, in their human form, were also able to fight with their club-like arms and to form spikes out of their bodies to stab the enemy.
