The Village of Sunagakure was unremarkable. Sandstorms would pass through every now and then, albeit they were better off -- they were protected on nearly all sides by the development of cliffs. The bazaar was full of characters selling their goods from across the desert, and it was apparent that they had no hot springs or anything mentionable like that. The Kazekage sat in her office, staring out over her domain. She felt powerful, but she felt a responsibility. These were her people, and she needed to take care of them. Better relations between villages could allow for prosperity to flow into Kaze no Kuni once more.

ken was wandering the streets with an advisory of his "Wow!" He watched as the amazing sand storms passed far in the distance Thats amazing! All we have in my lands is clouds in mountains. He inspected the streets, raiding though the bazaar buying all kinds of figurines and desert cuisine. This place is a cultural melting pot. From what I heard it was nothing like this, I always thought it was just boring deserts with scattered huts, but no this place is alive! He wandered around for a bit until he saw the Kazekage's tower in the center of town. That must be where she is. He walked up the flights of stairs until he met the door of the Kage's office. Well here goes. He opened the door and looked inside he saw a blond woman behind a desk, an older one at that. He sat down in front of her desk. "Um.. I forgot if this was planned or not.. Adviser!" His adviser scrambled to answer his question. The answer was yes. "So, the Kazekage? Quite a wonderful place you have here."

"Thank you. I was brought back a year ago from the Land of Desert to serve my people as I should have served them before the event." The Kazekage shook her head, "Nevertheless, Raikage. It's imperative that we establish good relations between our nations. Despite being a very far ally, it would bring stability to the ninja world, just as the Hokage wishes." she adjusts her hair. "I was recently reminded that I had never signed a formal agreement with the Hokage concerning our Alliance. However, it is necessary to understand that if enough people have allies, it will hurt much less in the event of.. dare I say.. a coup d'etat of the Kage leading a village." she adjusted herself gently. "Can I interest you in a flatbread, Raikage? My chef makes the best rolls."

"I agree." She offered him flat bread. "Sure I'll take a flat- bread.." He was served a portion of a very shallow bread with bright red toppings spread across the top. He had blatantly never had flat bread. Reluctantly, he lifted it up to his mouth and took a small bite from it Mmm Spicy. "Anyways, I heard that you are giving up Jonin to give to a group called the swordsmen, can you tell me about them. I've only heard good intentions so far." He took another bite of his flat bread. This is really good. The room was bright, the sun was powerful here.

"The Swordsmen parade their intention to defend all of the villages at once, however I'm unsure of what will happen if Konohagakure would invade a different village. They can't defend a different village from their own village, can they?" she shook her head. "I'll be giving some of my jounin over to them once I get the necessary troops. More importantly of their intentions, however, is the ability to seal a Bijuu rampaging in one of our villages. The only reason I would align with them is for protection against a Bijuu, of which our only defenses are the cliffs around our village." Anko sighed. The Kazekage turned. "Foster our visitor a lunch if you will." she looks to the Raikage. "Heavy or light?" She received his response with a pinch of salt. She looked to the chef. "Chef's choice."

Ken sat in his love seat patently waiting for this lunch, he was excited to see what they ate here in the desert for lunch. Part of him thought it would be something normal, but another par was exited for something exotic. "I think I'll offer some swordsmen as well, I have a rising Jonin I might offer them, he's quite young though. I don't know if he will be able to handle the responsibility." He finished his flat bread. Ken was lost in thought about his Tokubetsu jonin for a moment, but quickly broke out. He had better things to think about at the moment, like exotic food.

"I was held under the impression that the Bijuu would be sealed into the members of the Swordsmen, equipping them with several Jinchuriki for their own usage. It has come to blows that they are not, in fact, going to keep the Bijuu." she murmured to her adviser, who left the room to presumably the kitchen. An additional order? It seemed so. Eventually, the meal came out of the kitchen, and its aroma enveloped the room in its rich scent. A platter of food was offered to the two, and it was presumable that the two of them would be sharing their meal. The first servant carried the large platter and laid it on the Kazekage's empty desk. There were exquisite cuts of lamb rib, as well as well-seasoned chicken wings. Flatbreads were laid atop each other, next to a small cup with a small, short knife inside of it. The cup contained jelly, which would be smeared over the flatbreads.
Among the foods that were brought out, a plate was carried by the second servant. On the second plate was three bowls, one containing a whole bowl of de-shelled pistachios, one containing a bowl of yogurt without flavors, except for pink sprinkled sugar. Finally, the last bowl contained cream cheese, served next to a pair of bagels. The Kazekage was very rich, and this was only one of her displays of power: food. On the last of the extra platter was two cups, each filled with black desert coffee, grown in a private plantation owned far from the main city with imported soil from Hi no Kuni. "Thank you." she smiled to her servant, and offered the cup of coffee to the Raikage.

Coffee? With this meal? Well, I guess I have to. He took his drink in his hand and raised his glass, and paused for a moment as if he was thinking of something to say. "To peace." He then took a swig of his coffee. It was dark, very dark. He didn't like coffee dark, but he drank it anyway. He wanted to appear as if he was enjoying himself before her best offerings. Other than that drink, the rest of the food was absolutely delectable. He enjoyed himself as he chowed down on a few bagels that he gently covered in creme cheese. He had a spoonful of the yogurt, it was alright but he didn't want anymore.

The Kazekage took full advantage of her food, leaning forward and eating chicken and lamb first. However, she began to enjoy her pistachios and coffee. "To peace." she raised her glass, and began to drink the coffee. She was completely adapted to it, and she drank it hot without any qualms. "Nevertheless. Is the food good? I do hope it is. The lamb is one of the most common meats in Kaze no Kuni." she sighed gently, drinking her coffee. Eventually, she sat back gently, "What is your opinion on the powers of the explosive release, Raikage? It's just something questionable."

"Oh the food is delectable. I've never had anything better." He kept eating "Explosive release? I don't know, what do you think about the Ongengan?" He flashed his deep purple eyes. I wonder how she'll react. He popped a few pistachios into his mouth The room was kinda silent, he had answered a question with another one. She was surely intelligent to respond to the old philosopher style of conversation. Hopefully she would play along

"The Ongengan? Hm.. I don't believe I know what that is." The Kazekage leaned back. It was apparent that the Kage had a stain of jelly on her mouth, which was dealt with. How? The tongue in her palm emerged, licking it off of her face. "My art is the ultimate and welcomes all. Others may disagree, but I find that the explosives brigade succeed in creating new varieties of geography." she kisses her palm gently, chuckling. "I believe that, of all the Kages, I will reach wherever I wish to go faster than any of the others. In my circumstance.." The Kazekage lowered her eyes on the Raikage. "Dragons." she offered a toothy grin. "Nontheless, you may call me 'Anko.'"

Ken was suprised that someone of her stature would be so ignorant. "Well, the ongengan enhances my hearing. For example, I can hear your chefs in the room next to us discussing entrees for later in the day. Its quite useful." He took a sip of his drink. It was starting to get late. He didn't know how long the Kazekage had intended to keep him, but he was waiting to see how long it would take for her to practically shoo him out at the same time.

"I see.." Anko nodded gently. She ate out of the bowl of pecans, and rolled herself a fat dessert-esque flat bread roll, filled with date jelly. When she finished rolling it, she began to eat it, savoring its flavor. "Delicious. Nevertheless.." Her Byakugan eyes rested on the Raikage. "I don't believe I caught your name, either." Abruptly, a servant entered the room. "Ma'am, a gift for you." he turned, and beckoned whoever was behind him. The servant -- who was dressed as a foreigner -- entered the room, carrying a small duffel bag. Anko regarded him with caution. The man who entered seemed patient, but the Kazekage treated him like a threat. Then, she spoke. "Has the bird left its nest?" she asked, to which she received the response, "The swallow has eaten more of the eagle's seeds than the eagle enjoyed." she nodded gently, sighing. "Here is the swallow's seeds." the man approached her, offering the bag. Raising her knees up as so the Raikage couldn't see, the Kazekage looked inside. A yellow glimmer flashed onto her face, and she closed the bag. "Send the Eagle my dearest apologies, and that more sticks will be sent his way." he looked to the messenger, who nodded, and turned to leave.
The Kazekage lowered the bag to her side and looked to the Raikage. In a quick phrase, she said a word that could only be heard as "Bid'ness."

"I see..." He finished what he had considered enough for one day, and had been contemplating on when to leave. I think know of all times this is the best. "Well... you can call me Utai, but I must be on my way." He stood up from the chair he had been resting in for so long, he was even a bit stiff. "It was nice to spend the evening with you, and I assure you an alliance is granted. If you need me, you know where my lands are." He walked out the Kage's office. Glad I got out of there, I felt like Hansel in there. That woman really has a way with food.Ken left thread.
